The High Renaissance

As an artist of the modern world, I tend to work with bold colors and textures, exiting with a final piece representing beauty and its high values. Many take a different approach, giving us a better sense of changing it up and being unique in other world standing out the box. Everything was for the entertainment of curious eyes and minds. It also has an equivocal space making a more interesting visual pattern than the immediately clear spatial organization provided by overlapping in a design. A touch of the exotic was introduced for the first time. From the nudes to the linear and atmospheric perspective, observations their surroundings polished the movement.  The High Renaissance, an era in the sixteenth century that broke from tradition and came about a new interest in art, the human form along with science and math. This period was inspiring to me because I believe in giving the viewer a change to do his or her own interpretation. Being that Italian artists Michelangelo, Leonardo de Vinci and Raphael took full control of this period they bought art to the next level. Becoming more about the creative and the different not the obverse and the normal, from rich colors to its space composition and it massive grace. Harmony was all throughout paintings and sculptures at the time. As we could conclude, art could be taking in different directions and according to my understanding is up to us the artist to state our style and owning it.

Abstract Designs

Working with scale is something new to me, so I became best friends with my metal ruler, being that measurement, proportion and volume where the mean key to creating this design. After stretching down my ideas I ended up pick my feature design as you see below. I choose the feather because its graceful and light and I add a shade of black, working with lights, mediums and darks since I more of a graphic bold artist. Using the xacto knife, I was able to create scores on the base in order to hold and show the scale ranging from 1- 15 from small too big.  By adding more than required made my piece stand out, giving me a great understanding of balance and unity.

Color Madness:

A mix of colors and a great form of movement makes these paintings energetic. The idea of “color madness” came about as I was creating colors within my designs. Not taking control and having the colors connect with each other, making it bring about other colors as they mix. Being that color represents energy, power and life, I tend to be in a clear mind set…..where technology is not near,  breaking away from my phone, computer and radio and just working with my supplies and nature. I find that each piece within this category carries its own life and richness whether it’s the brush stroke, the color it’s self or its simple pureness.

Donatello David c. 1440 - 1460

I strongly agree that Beauty is a quality of a person, animal, place, object, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of enjoyment, importance or pleasurable. The experience of beauty often involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well being. This is a piece that displays the risk David took upon for survival of Israelites, by killing the enemy and standing strong over it. Donatello, David c.1440-1460 Bronze, its seemingly spontaneous and intense style made this piece surpass with richness. Being Symbolic and spiritual, making the work represent higher levels of being, it delivers a graceful female touch full of unity, volume and balance. Tonal value from light to dark describes the effect of form, and clarifies arrangement in space. Many unanswered question in history, but what stands solid in our memories is the brave David.
